KOKUSAI DENKI Crucial Imaging Division to Show HD and SD Surveillance Solutions at Border Security Expo
Southwick, MA, May 1, 2026 — KOKUSAI DENKI Electric Inc., formerly known as Hitachi Kokusai Electric since 1991, latest Crucial Imaging Division solutions to the upcoming Border Security Expo in Phoenix (May 5-6, Phoenix Convention Center – South Building), showcasing the imaging power and simple integration capabilities of its long-range camera surveillance systems. KOKUSAI DENKI Crucial Imaging Division will exhibit at Booth 741.
KOKUSAI DENKI has provided surveillance camera systems to Governments for border, coastline and critical infrastructure protection since 1967. The company’s Crucial Imaging Division’s cameras and unique electro optical systems can detect human targets and fence lines from up to 15 miles away, delivering exceptional image quality in diverse environmental and atmospheric conditions. At the Border Security Expo 2026 show, KOKUSAI DENKI Electric Crucial Imaging Division will show how its leading HD/SD camera systems support a variety of resolutions. Demonstrations include the KP-HD3005G, a global shutter camera with a 2/3-inch CMOS sensor that provides a smooth image with no distortion in the event of camera or subject movement. The camera also comes equipped with a motion stabilizer for jitter-free image acquisition, a digital zoom function and a defog function for haze correction and clear expression of hazy images.
KOKUSAI DENKI will also show the KP-HD2005R-S5 low-light camera system. This is a full HD 2.38 mega-pixel camera with a high-performance imaging device (1/1.9-inch high-sensitivity MOS image sensor) and long-range, ultra-low-light capability (0.009 lux). The KP-HD2005R-S5 is a widely installed surveillance camera model, integrating a high-performance imaging system that produces HD pictures at 30/25 frames per second with progressive scan output. The HD camera offers a field of view that seven times greater than leading SD and analog systems to help users significant expand visibility, and identify targets and breaches.
KOKUSAI DENKI Electric will also show its economical KP-HD1005 1/3” camera system and KP-HD20AW multi-format small format camera. The latter features the company’s broadcast camera technology and is ideal for use within narrow or limited spaces. KOKUSAI DENKI Electric will display its Auto Focus Board (BOARD-H3005G) as a complementary support tool which offers:
- Enhanced functionality and operability
- Auto Focus capability to non-Auto Focus lenses.
- Control to analog lenses via RS-232C/RS-485.
- Control of the optional VG-2000PCB Heat Haze correction and stabilization board
